Penny Soto - Steps to Watercolor

Finally the finish! I prepared the lesson a little different this time, hoping it will be easier to follow.

Let’s begin with the shapes of the un-drawn leaves on the bottom. Draw a shape or look closely at mine to follow. Underpaint the leaves with a number 4 or 5 value. 

There will be a lot of detail of these fore ground leaves, so we must keep them a little on the light side to compensate for all the glazes we will be putting on. I used Ultra Marine Blue, Alizarin, Golden Lake (MaimeriBlu pigments) Perm Rose, and Aureolin.
