This
will be a lesson on under painting, color temperatures and Blue shades.
Thanks to our editor,
Gloria, we have a beautiful photograph to paint from. However, I want
you to concentrate on changing colors, shapes and intensity as much as
you want!
We
will start with of course the drawing. The size I am painting is 16 x
22. It is ¾ of a full sheet. You can paint this any size you prefer.
You can “project” your photo with an opaque projector if you
like. I think that’s fine as long as you sit down and “redraw”it
and place in the values. You can project right onto the watercolor
paper.
Another
way of getting this onto the watercolor paper is by printing the drawing
and going to a copy store, such a Kinko’s, and have the drawing
“blown up” to the size you would like to paint it. Click on the
black and white drawing to go to the page where the larger image is. You
can print it off from there or order it from that page.
Make
sure you have the Black and White drawing blown up instead of the
photograph. You can print it out from the lesson.
At the end of this lesson, you will find information on how to
order both the photo and the line drawing. |
