This was a lot of fun.  I threw some Holbein's Opera and Prussian Blue on paper for the background, tossed on some salt and left it for a day or two.  After brushing the salt off, I began free-form "negative painting" some of the lace.  Over a long period of time, I ran out of "lacey" ideas and had to gather different lace items to finish it.
