This painting began as a non-directional painting in a class, two things I
do not handle well - nondirectional painting & working in class. I wonder why I was
there! The underpainting was thrown on and was appealing, so I felt I had to do something
to finish it. As I worked and worked, the expected, dreaded "mud" appeared. It
still had some merit - in places - so I salvaged it with pastels. Surprisingly, the
finished painting still has a freshness about it. Back to The angelino Studio |
